What is the Sweeper Clues rule?

Sweeper Clues is a variant sudoku rule: a digit in a circle indicates how many odd digits are in its (up to 9) surrounding cells. A digit in a square indicates how many even digits surround it.

In every puzzle here the setter’s own rules text is shown beside the board, so the exact wording for the puzzle you are solving is always one glance away. All normal sudoku rules apply unless the setter says otherwise.
